Introduction

This privacy policy explains what data the "Tanakh Quiz" app collects, how it is stored, and what it is used for. Using the app constitutes agreement to the terms described here.

Information We Collect

Player name — the name you choose to enter is shown alongside your score on the global leaderboard, together with an optional cosmetic badge you may choose to purchase (if any). No visible registration, login, email address, or other identifying detail is required. To prevent other players from overwriting your leaderboard row, the app creates a random anonymous Firebase account identifier in the background.

Game data — score, progress, day streak, coins, and purchases made within the app. Most of this is stored only on your own device; only your name, score, selected badge, and anonymous account identifier are sent to a server for the leaderboard.

Technical information — like any app that uses ads and Google services, technical device information may be collected by third-party providers, as detailed below.

Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services, each governed by its own privacy terms:

• Google Firebase Authentication / Firestore — for creating a random anonymous account identifier and storing leaderboard data (name, score, and badge).
• Google AdMob — for displaying banner and rewarded ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization purposes, in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
• Google Play Billing on Android and Apple App Store / StoreKit on iOS — for processing in-app purchases, including coin packs and ad removal. Payment and billing details are handled by the applicable app store and are never stored by or accessible to us.

Advertising Choices

Where required, the app asks for your advertising privacy choices before requesting ads. A Privacy choices option appears in Settings whenever Google's consent platform requires an entry point. On iOS, the system tracking prompt may also appear when use of the advertising identifier is applicable. You may decline tracking; ads can still be shown without the advertising identifier.

How We Use Information

• Displaying a global leaderboard based on name and score.
• Processing in-app purchases you make.
• Displaying ads (some rewarded, at your choice).

We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes unrelated to the services described above.

Children's Privacy

The app is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect identifying information from children of this age. If we become aware that such information was collected by mistake, we will act to delete it.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect stored data, but as with any online service, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Since the app does not require a visible account or identifying information, a leaderboard entry cannot be directly linked to your real identity. If you would like your entry removed from the leaderboard, contact us at the address below along with the name that appeared in the app.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new update date.
